This is a site for a small non-profit organization in Austin called Project Suite Pea. The site was designed by a graphic designer. I took her mockups and turned them into HTML, CSS, and Flash.
I decided to use Flash for the front page navigation instead of an image map or CSS. Since the flash file is all vector art, the file size is nice and small. Since the organization has someone who can edit the Flash file, it is actually easier to maintain and edit than markup would have been. As in my last project, I used SWFObject 2.0 to embed the Flash file and serve up alternative content.
I used an image replacement technique for the headings and logo that I have used before. The left navigation is CSS based with background images for the circles.
